More detailed information about the snowpack:

A photo from today, Jan 27, ~ 3:00 PM, near South Lake Tahoe, elev. ~ 9,400 feet. Wind affected snow near a ridgetop, on a north facing slope.

From the ridgetop to 100 feet below, in some but not all spots found a ~ 4cm very skiable fun breakable wind crust. Found cold, powdery, fun snow on north facing slopes approximately 100 feet below the ridgetop, without much crust or wind affected snow.

From ~12:30 PM - 5:30 PM, observed "only a little" blowing snow, and almost all of the time observed no blowing snow.
