More detailed information about the snowpack:

Cold air temps and windy conditions made for chalky conditions on the surface on most aspects; however, throughout most of the appoarch variable conditions of breakable, soft and supportable snow surfaces were observed. Moderate to strong transporting of snow was observed on ridgelines and saddles. Pit profile showed settlement in the storm snow as most of pit was well consolidated. No sign of Dec.15th rain crust after digging down 200cm. Most noteable was a 15cm layer of Grapuel that was approximately 25cm from the surface. ECT resulted in ECTN21. PST had no results on this layer. There was no ski cut results or other signs of instability.
