Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Some whumpfing experienced at snow pit location while digging down to facet layer.  Snow coverage above 6800' is mostly adequate for ski travel, although dense areas of forest still have many obstacles present.  No signs of avalanche activity in the heavily treed and lower angle terrain we encountered.

Video:  PST 90/105 END above the 12/15 rain crust.  Limited facet layer above the rain crust.  Below the rain crust PST 40/105 END.  Facets were moist and able to be clumped together at this location.  12/15 rain crust has deteriorated and the lower snowpack is made up mostly of weak facets.
