More detailed information about the snowpack:

Warm conditions again today with above freezing temperatures overnight.  Snow surface remains in a wet stage in densely treed areas with deep and unsupportable snow.  In open areas, the snow surface did have a marginal refreeze due to radiational cooling overnight with mostly clear skies.  Moderate SW winds were keeping the snow surface firm on SW-W aspects at the higher elevations up to at least mid day.  E-SE-S aspects had good spring snow above 8500' up to around 12noon.  Conditions deteriorated below 8200' where snow was wet, heavy, sticky, and unsupportable.  The optimum time for descent for safety and snow conditions seemed to be around 10am today.
