Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Widespread surface hoar during morning hours. Still present but wet around noon on south aspects. Natural loose wet roller ball activity observed on steep south facing slopes at 9:00am. Northeast facing aspects below 7200 feet were displaying some loose wet roller ball activity in response to skier turns at 12:30pm. 

Surface conditions largely comprised of surface hoar and near surface facets on north to north east aspects from 8800 - 7200.

Photo 1: Surface hoar growing on a rain runneled flat aspect at 7600 feet. 

Photo 2: Large cornices along the Talking Mt. ridge. The cornice in the distance is over 20 feet high. 

Photo 3: Running water at 7800 feet on a south aspect near Flagpole Peak around 11:30am. Several open areas of running water were visible.
