More detailed information about the snowpack:

Surface hoar observed everywhere in the area today, even in the trees and to the summit of Genoa Peak. On sunny slopes, by the afternoon, surface hoar was laying down and melting. Steep sunny slopes were becoming quite wet at the surface, with roller balls easy to initiate but no natural roller balls observed. Indirect sunny slopes (see picture) continued to hold surface hoar late into the afternoon.
