More detailed information about the snowpack:

Inconsistent refreeze on SE aspects of Waterhouse Peak this morning. At 8:30 open areas above 7000 feet were frozen but areas with tree cover were soft and unfrozen. By around 9:30am, open areas were softening noticeably due to mild temps and strong solar influenece. This pattern was consistent until amost 9000 feet where consistent strong winds were keeping the surface frozen.

Note: there is a signicant amount of broken trees and avalanche derbis in the lower 1/2 of the SE gully.
