Quick pit dug on a SE aspect on a shaded slope with an angle the high 30's (sorry forgot to measure). 

Surface hoar was a few MM's 
First 5ish cm was the same density, not super light but definitely not too wet.

Next 5cm (38cm-43cm) was a consolidated crust from the percipitation of the day/ night before. This held plenty of weight, and wasn't able to break through this while I skied. 

The rest to the ground seemed to be the same consitancy.
