Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Storm event in this area appeared to deposit around 6 inches of new snow above 7,200'  followed by rain up to ~8,500'. Breakable crust on all aspects below 8,500'. Some softening and melt of the surface crust occurred today on due S aspects. Snowpit data collected at the noted lat/long (N aspect, 8,210', at treeline) showed a well consolidated snowpack. No signs faceting or other problematic weak layer formation within the old snow layers or specifically around the rain crusts at this time.
