More detailed information about the snowpack:

Between 15 and 25 cms on new snow observed near Frog Lake on Carson Pass today. This new snow rests on top of a thoroughly wet snowpack. Moderate CT results where the cold new snow meets the wet snow. These failures were repeatable and noticeable but hard to separate from the block as the wet snow weak layer quickly healed.

Little blowing snow observed in immediate area, but ridgetops showed signs of blowing snow.

Snow totals at Carson Pass compared to 18 cms of new snow measured in the Echo Lakes SNOPARK earlier today and 9 cms of new snow measured at the Waterhouse Peak trailhead. These measurements were taken on the way to Carson Pass.
