Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

As expected, E aspects in the Tamarack Peak area remained frozen at mid day. Snow cover is becoming increasingly limited on S aspects.

N aspects remain a mix of cold unconsolidated snow in the deep shade. Elsewhere on NW-N-NE aspects the expected range of breakable crust, heavily tracked, and/or firm wind scoured snow surfaces were encountered.

A snowpit dug below treeline on a well shaded N aspect at 9,000' revealed no signs of instability.

NE winds began increasing around 11 am with no signs of blowing snow.
