Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Observations from the N side of Chickadee Ridge matched well with other recent observations from around the forecast area. No signs of problematic instability. Wind scoured surfaces and exposed crust at and above treeline. Tiny, superficial wind slab near treeline, too small to present a significant hazard. Unconsolidated Feb 12 storm snow still unaffected by melt holding on shaded N aspects below treeline. Minor near surface faceting, but not enough to create a major concern for new snow loading.

E-SE aspect micro terrain features around 8,500' had 1 cm of surface wet snow at 10 am.

A test pit dug near treeline on a NNE aspect at 9,120' (noted lat/long) yielded CTM-11 SC and 2x ECTX on now rounded, once faceted crystals on the underside of the January 25 crust,. This Jan 25 crust was located 27 cm below the snow surface in the pit. HS at snowpit location was 175 cm.
