More detailed information about the snowpack:

6 to 8'' of new snow in the Tamarack Peak area this morning with an additional 1-2'' of snow during the day.  Yesterdays strong to gale force SW winds shifted to NW winds today in the moderate range.  Sensitive cornices existed along ridgelines with limited wind slab activity.  Shooting cracks were localized in wind loaded terrain with overall limited instability experienced today in this area.  Wind exposed areas were getting scoured by the NW winds back down to the previous firm crusts.  Some small wind slab development was occurring on SE-S aspects from the NW winds with available snow for transport.
