Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Wet snow at noon was limited to only the top 1 to 2 inches of the snowpack in this area on southerly aspects in the 6,900' to 7,500' elevation range. No signs of instability observed. Some recent roller balls created by snow falling from sun exposed trees onto colder shaded N aspect terrain (photo) did not produce any degree of loose wet avalanche activity.

Snowpit data collected at the noted lat/long (N aspect at 7,650') identified some near crust facets ~2.3 feet deep in the snowpack, but no problematic test results or indications of instability were observed.
