More detailed information about the snowpack:

No signs of wind slab instability in near treeline terrain on the cross loaded NW and directly loaded N aspects near and at the summit of Chickadee Ridge. Very minimal scouring by recent NE winds.

Recent storm snow was deposited on top of poorly developed near surface facets. 4F hard storm snow on top of 4F hard old snow (nsf) layer. PST on this interface at noted lat/long scored 2x PST 100/100 end, giving no indications of a problematic weak layer for the new snow loading expected tonight/tomorrow. Snowpit data collected in this area on Feb 17 (prior to the last storm) revealed no signs of instability deeper in the snowpack.
