More detailed information about the snowpack:

Soft spring style riding from the ridge between Basin and Castle Peak down into Round Valley. Although air temperatures have not fallen below freezing in the Castle Peak area for the past 72 hours the snow surface has been refreezing each night due to radiative cooling. Even at 2pm ski pentration on wide open WSW aspect was at most 10cm. Cold well settled snow (ski pen 7cm) is hanging in there on steep north aspects and would be a nice option for riding as well. No wet loose activity observed.
