Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Toured up Red Lake Peak today and found wet snow up to about 9000' on north-facing aspects. I dug a north-facing pit at 8500' (not the one in the included profile), adjacent to a pit I dug on Jan. 11, to compare test results. My results today were more reactive: CT14 RP, CT20 RP, ECTP18 SP, ECTP22 SP, and PST(50/100) END, all down 45cm on the facet layer. Boot Penetration was 13cm, compared to 57cm in the same location 5 days ago. Coordinates for this location are 38.72393N, 119.97311W.

A pit at 9100' on a NNW aspect in the bowl above Crater Lake (38.7185N, 119.97778W; also not the one in the profile) gave CT19 RP down 52cm on a facet layer, and ECTX.

The included profile is from a pit at about 9500' on a N aspect in near treeline terrain, at the location indicated on the map.

Ski cuts on windloaded convexities did not produce any shooting cracks or other signs of instability.
