Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Observations were made today near a previous snowpit from Jan. 11 to compare snowpack test results on the buried facet layer.  Multiple test results showed that propagation was not likely on the facet layer in contrast to the previous observation from Jan 11 which showed unstable results from all tests conducted.  The faceted layer in this area still remains dry to moist but shows to have gained some strength over the last week.  Snow surface conditions ranged from cold unconsolidated snow to wet and sticky surface snow at lower elevations.
