Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Warm temperatures with light mist up to the top of Andesite Peak, 8200'.  Small wind slabs were found near the peak on NE-E aspects.  Minor localized cracking was observed in these areas but wind slabs were non reactive.  Small skier triggered roller balls were occurring in steeper terrain with a thin layer of wet surface snow from the mist.

A test pit dug on a NE aspect at 8000' in below treeline terrain showed 8'' of recent settled storm snow.  Below this recent storm snow, the snowpack was well consolidated snow that was P hard and firmer.  CTN was recorded.
