More detailed information about the snowpack:

Ridgeline out to Becker Peak has marginal snow cover. Many stumps and rocks exposed along the route. Snow on sunny aspects was wet and sticky by 9:00am. Large boulder fields around Becker need additional snow before they are really skiable. On north facing slopes surface conditions were variable. On these slopes soft wintery snow existed alongside melt freeze crusts and previous loose wet slide activity.

Photo 1: Snow under tree cover was wet and unsupportive by 8:30am.

Photo 2: Previous wet loose avy activity on north facing slope.

Photo 3: Partial ice/snow coverage on Echo Lake.
