More detailed information about the snowpack:

Up to 1' of storm snow in this location overnight and into today.  Wind transport was observed along ridges and peaks with wind slabs up to 2' deep.  Minor cracking occurred in these wind loaded areas but no propagation would happen on test slopes.  In isolated areas where previous near surface facets existed, we did see shooting cracks down to the old snow/new snow interface.  These areas were in wind protected, below treeline terrain on northerly aspects.  Previous faceted snow in this area was still dry and loose.
