More detailed information about the snowpack: 

We traveled through the Castle Peak area today on a very supportive crust from yesterday's rain/snow event. Crust was 2cm thick and made for some challenging skinning conditions.

We dug several pits looking for the facet layer below the crust. They were quite dry and would not clump when squeezed- a change from the wet state from 1/6. Tests suggested unlikely propagation: 2x ECTN, 3x CTH RP-BRK
