More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Surface hoar was present today in open sheltered areas near Carson Pass. Test slopes between Woods Lake and Round Top were mostly unreactive, but one ski cut did produce minor cracking (photo 1).  Roller balls and very small loose wet avalanches were observed on steep slopes with exposed rocks below about 9000', on north and east aspects (photo 2).
