More detailed information about the snowpack:

Moderate to heavy rainfall this morning/afternoon has thoroughly wetted the entire snow profile.  Snowpack observations revealed no cold snow and block test failures at old faceted grains/NCFs.  No collapsing or cracking observed during our tour.  WSW winds increasing throughout the morning.  Supportable crusts breaking down in the rain and becoming much less supportable by 1330.  Visiblity limited; raining to at least 8300 feet elevation.  Gloves may take 2-3 days to dry.
