These observations document past conditions at a small and variable scale. They are not to be confused with an avalanche forecast. They come from a variety of sources. We can only vouch for the quality of those produced by the SAC forecasters and professional observers.

Late morning view of south east face of Flagpole peak, showing previous natural slide activity.Winds were transporting snow and largely covering up the skin track between laps.A natural loose dry avalanche on a steep slope just below the summit ridge. Propagation up to 30' with shallow wind slab.
Triggered wind slab up to 4 inches thick on top of older wind slab from 24+ previous.
Some wind transport refill of skin track after 3 hrs, well below treeline on Carpenter Rd on N aspect at 8,040'.
